Students from around the world find Spain to be an exceptional place to live and learn a language that is spoken by more than 400 million people around the world. They can use the Au Pair Spain program either as an add-on before or after a semester abroad, a stop in a gap year, or for a summer paid job abroad.

Au pairs will work 30 hours a week. The schedule is based on the family's needs and will differ with each placement. A typical day will be five to six hours of work. The work will most likely be six days of work with one day off, or five days of work with two days off, depending on the hours worked each day. Au pairs will watch the child for up to two evenings per week. Au pairs may be requested to extend their work schedule during school holidays. In that case, the host family will pay extra. During summer months, au pairs may also be asked to join the family on their vacation.
