VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking highly motivated and creative professionals for the position "Monitoring Officer of the EU Flood Recovery Programme"
In response to the major damage caused by floods, the European Union has approved a 10 million euro recovery programme to help reconstruct critical transport and water infrastructure and improve protection of the citizens living in floodrisk areas. The EU Flood Recovery Programme is being implemented by UNDP in partnership with national and local institutions.
Monitoring Officer
Under direct supervision of the EU Flood Recovery Programme Manager and the overall guidance of the UNDP Head of Energy, Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction Unit, the Monitoring Officer will be responsible for the follovving:
Monitoring and evaluation ofthe programme implementation
Providing technical support to the team, partner institutions, organizations and stakeholders in the implementation of programme activities
Required education:
University degree in civil engineering or ar
chitecture.
M. Sc. in relevant fields is a strongasset.
Required professional experience:
At least 3 уеагѕ (or two уеагѕ for candidates with M. Sc. of relevant professional experience in design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of construction projects.
Experience in implementation of similar projects funded/implemented by international organizations shall be a strong asset.
Language Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Fluency in Macedonian and English. Knowledge of other local languages is an asset.
