Clikdaq provides development, data and marketing services to UK clients Digital Adventures (DA) and Tau Marketing Services (TMS). Clikdaq supports its UK client’s operations in the affiliate marketing and gaming marketplaces using cutting edge software and the latest data, analysis and campaign management techniques. This makes Clikdaq a leading digital company within Macedonia.
The role
Clikdaq is undergoing a rapid expansion and has the ambition to grow to up to 50 staff in the next 3 years. The company currently has 14 employees but already has 16 vacancies including positions that range from technical roles such as Tech Lead and Data Engineer, Campaign Management roles such as Google Campaign Manager and Affiliate Manager, and operational roles such as Reporting Analyst and Email Operations Exec.
The Data Engineer will work on the development of new and existing data pipelines, turning requirements into a finished technical solution and cooperating effectively with colleagues in both technical and business-facing roles.
Reporting into Head of Data Science, based in the UK, the Data Engineer will work with business stakeholders to create and optimise ETL and data enrichment processes to maximise the usefulness of data for a variety of purposes. This includes working out how best to ingest new data sources from new vendors, and where possible directly engaging with the vendor to improve their service for Tau Marketing Services.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential requirements for the role is strong commercial experience in a data /software engineering role, including substantial use of the following technologies/ tools:
• ETL/ data load process development
• Python (or other significant OO language with desire to learn Python)
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Services and/or general API managed cloud services.
• SQL (incl Productionising data - Data-Marts / Views / Triggers)
• Comfortable on the command line / shell scripting experience in Unix/Linux
• Knowledge of REST API’s
Any experience in the following would also be desirable:
• BigQuery (and other SQL tools)
• Experience dealing with large and/or complex data sets
• Cloud solutions, particularly Google Cloud Services
• Knowledge of Acquisition Marketing (Search-Engine Marketing, Meta Search)
• Other Big data/ NoSQL technologies
