Research on-line courses that can complement, supplement or replace ADB-initiated sector and thematic training. Work closely with the 15 Sector and Thematic Groups, and other thematic networks (e.g., stakeholder engagement, internal audit, ICT for development), to identify external online learning opportunities suited to ADB staff. Compile a user-friendly and easily updated digital compendium of course offerings that directly relate to skills needed by sector and thematic staff.

Also, explore possibilities for ADB to collaboratively develop one or more e-learning courses/ Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) to offer to staff through a partnership with other organizations (e.g., the IADB).

This assignment is developed in the context of the increasing availability of on-line courses that are highly relevant to the capacity needs of ADB personnel, and the constrained budget for funding in-house face-to-face learning programs.

While some STG secretariats are aware of one or more online courses relevant to strengthening expertise in their technical fields, there has been no recent, systematic survey of online courses that would be useful to ADB technical staff across sectors and themes.

3. PERIOD OF ASSIGNMENT:

Duration: 12-24 weeks
Timing: January 2018

NOTE: ADB provides a stipend of 69 USD per day for a maximum of 56 calendar days only. Interns may choose to continue work beyond 56 calendar days in agreement with the designated supervisors, but without stipend.
