Womankind Worldwide was the brainchild of Sir Alec Reed of Reed Employment plc. His aim was to set up a charity to support women and girls, which he would finance for three years through Reed Employment and Reed Charity.
We are looking for a Communications Manager with the passion, experience and skills to lead and implement a communications strategy that will raise the profile of Womankind Worldwide among key audiences, engage our supporters and support our work strengthening women’s movements.
The Communications Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Womankind brand and all external communications, including understanding our audiences, developing and managing the Womankind website, commissioning and producing high quality content, managing our digital and social media activity and developing relationships with journalists.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of implementing a successful communications strategy, gathering content and telling powerful stories, managing a website and social media, and media relations. Ideally, the candidate will have worked with people and organisations in developing countries.
If you are an experienced communications professional, with a commitment to and understanding of women’s rights and/or gender and development, we would like to hear from you.
