Junior Achievement Worldwide is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. 10 million students are participating in Junior Achievement programs in more than 100 countries around the world. Junior Achievement Macedonia (JA Macedonia) is one of the member nations in the global net of JA Worldwide and a member of JA Europe. Currently the organisation is undergoing restructuring and needs a proactive professional to fulfill the position of:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)


Main responsibilities:

- Develop business plan for JA Macedonia
- Meet growth targets as established with the Board and with JA Europe.
- Full budgetary and financial reporting responsibility including:
o Acquisition of long-term funding for operations and national programming
o Development of sources of statutory and corporate donor funding in support of JA programs.
- Setting up of monitoring and evaluation systems to provide accurate quantitative and qualitative measures of JA programs in Macedonia.
- In addition to programs, the CEO shall organize local trainings, competitions, conferences and the like in which young people can participate.
- Ability to research and manage relationships with statutory and corporate donors in Macedonia. Ability to research and write project proposals in support of JA Macedonia.
- Research and contact with businesses and other agencies/institutions in Macedonia which would support JA programming in diverse ways (partner networks; board members; promoters; funders).

Requirements:

- At least 4 years of project management experience.
- Experience in strategic planning.
- A good general knowledge of education systems in Macedonia.
- Ability to research and manage relationships with statutory and corporate donors in Macedonia. Ability to research and write project proposals in support of JA Macedonia.
- Experience of providing financial and qualitative reports to donors and donor agencies
- Translation of long term financial and other targets into medium and short term operational targets.
- Budgetary responsibility including resource planning, budget setting, ongoing management and reporting. Well-developed communication and influencing skills –“NETWORKING”-- the ability to form effective working relationships with people in all sections of the organization and with external partners from a variety of backgrounds.
- Ability to research and write funding proposals in the local language as well as English, for statutory bodies, foundations and corporate donors.
- Experience of managing a small team, including role definition, performance management and personal development.
- Good prioritization skills and ability to work under minimum supervision to tight deadlines and to effectively lead a small team.
- Entrepreneurial flair. High personal drive and strong initiative to achieve results.
- Adaptable and flexible. Ability and willingness to effectively operate in a wide range of contexts.
- Interest in, and commitment to, the aims and objectives of JA Worldwide.
- Fluency in Macedonian, English and local languages.
