Seeks a Communications and Development Coordinator (full time)

KEY ATTRIBUTES
The communications and development coordinator is responsible for sharing and communicating the activities of the school on behalf of Nova through the predetermined channels for communication. This person is also involved in managing the internal community communication among Nova employees, parents, alums, and students. Finally, this role manages the activities of the Nova alumni association and initiates projects and fundraising campaigns that further the school’s strategic plan and assist its growth and development.

Specific roles:
● Managing Nova’s public presence through its website www.nova.edu.mk and social media
● Responsible for managing the internal flow of communication, including upholding professional standards
● The upkeep and update of all school governance documents inclusive of the student parent, and faculty and staff handbooks
● Promotion of school activities to the general public
● Liaises with marketing/PR agency for the promotion of school events and activities, and actively manages the school’s public perception
● Communicates the main educational activities and process by the institution, with a focus on qualities that set the school apart from other institutions
● Coordinates the work of the NOVA Alumni Association (NAA)

QUALIFICATIONS
It is expected that candidates for this position will be highly qualified and experienced in the field. Candidates we would consider a good match include:

Education / Certification / Experience:
● University degree required with a major in the area of communications/social science or equivalent; master’s degree preferred
● 5+ years of experience in the fields of communications/marketing/PR
● Experience in working for a mid-sized organisation, preferably in the areas of education, hospitality/tourism, with a preference for in an international setting
● Highly technologically proficient, with a mastery of written and spoken English language.

● Is able to communicate clearly and precisely both in written and verbal communication
● Is able to adapt messages to various audiences
● Strong team-building, analytical and problem-solving skills
● Experience in the preparation of governance documents (protocols and procedures)

● Displays excellent social skills which enable community-wide collaboration
● Minimum of C1 level of English language proficiency
