Business Development Track
Skopje·6 Months·Paid
We are opening a graduate program in Skopje this summer, and we are looking for junior business development associates with engineering skills. It is paid, full time, on site, and runs for six months. The program is a great opportunity to experience an entrepreneurial environment with direct, customer-facing activity; in an industry that fuses technology and delivery to do good for people.
Sorsix builds and operates technology for health systems. Our flagship product, Pinga, serves as the system of record for more than 10 million patients across over 12 countries. Pinga is one of a short list of products globally that are implemented as national platforms, across entire countries. Pinga has over 150k active daily users, split between clinicians, administrators, and patients. Pinga is a new idea in healthcare technology: a 'health operating system', enabling the majority of workflows in a health system to take place in a single platform.
BD is not just sales: and this program is not a pure sales role. Software solutions in healthcare aren't just products; they represent fundamental changes to how our customers work. We don't succeed when a sale is made: we succeed when the customers are delivering better outcomes for their patients and populations.
Our program is about:
- Learning how Pinga works,
- Working with prospective and current customers to help them understand how Pinga can deliver value to their workflow, and
- Assist customers in establishing and improving their usage of Pinga so they get the best value.
The program will cover:
- Pre-sales assistance. Assisting in customer meetings, doing the follow-up afterwards, and keeping opportunities from going quiet.
- Product demos. Learning Pinga well enough to show it to senior healthcare users and executives, and adjusting what you show to what that person actually cares about. You will work with everyone from clinicians to directors and ministry staff.
- Implementation. Working with our implementation teams on real deployments: configuring the system for a customer, mapping their data, and helping train the people who will use it. You would see what was demonstrated in a demo get delivered.
- Tenders, proposals and partnerships. Public health tenders run to hundreds of pages of technical specification, and the work is to decide honestly which requirements we can meet and which we cannot. Large bids are often impossible to win alone, so part of this is finding the right partners, agreeing who delivers which part, and negotiating the terms.
Skills you will develop:
- Software implementation. The engineering matters: you cannot demo a clinical system to a hospital IT lead and survive the questions without understanding what sits underneath it.
- Domain knowledge: Healthcare is a fascinating growth area that has never had adequate process engineering applied: we are on the cutting edge not only of software in healthcare, but of implementation of software and pathways in healthcare.
- Technical writing: every RFP/RFI is different; and each tender asks whether we can exchange data with a system nobody here has worked with, or when an implementation meets a customer's real data for the first time.
What we are looking for:
Students from
-Business faculties who are technology power users, and have experimented with and built their own software
-Engineering faculties with an entrepreneurial mindset who want to work with users and customers
Great presentation and public speaking skills
The patience to read and digest long technical documents carefully
Spreadsheet power user - MEWC contestants will be automatically accepted
-C2 level English - the interview will be in English
-C2-level European languages are a plusNative Macedonian is required
Over 85% of the students who finish our internships get hired. We expect the same of our graduate program: our intention is to develop your talent into a career with Sorsix.
